Siem Reap to Hold Water Festival Boat Races November 26-27

SIEM REAP: The Siem Reap Administration will organize the boat racing along the Siem Reap River from November 26-27 in order to promote the culture and traditions of Cambodia.

The announcement of Siem Reap Provincial Administration on October 20 said that the Water Festival Celebration is meant to promote traditions as well as to attract more national and international tourists to visit the temples and resorts in the province. The boat race is an integral part of Water Festival celebrations and this one will run from the old Department of Tourism stone bridge to the Wat Preah Reach Bo stone bridge.

The administration also released information for boat race sign-up at the Human Resource Management Office of Siem Reap Provincial Hall.

Siem Reap hopes that all kinds of people will join in the fun and entertainment in order to promote the culture, traditions and customs of the nation to be prosperous and long-lasting.
